Terms of Service
Last updated: 9 July 2026
This is a plain-language summary provided for convenience and does not constitute legal advice; please review with your own solicitor before relying on it.
These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) govern your use of the Zero Shots Given website, your enrolment on our bootcamp, and your use of our desktop app. Zero Shots Given (“we”, “us”, “our”) is a trading name of [Company name], a company registered in England & Wales. By applying for a seat, buying our desktop app, or otherwise using our services, you agree to these Terms.
1. Who we are and what we offer
Zero Shots Given runs a 3-week, in-person, intensive bootcamp where you build and ship real, working apps by directing AI, with no coding background required. We also sell a one-off desktop app (an installer) that you can license and run on your own machine.
2. Eligibility
- You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a binding contract.
- The bootcamp assumes no coding background, but you must be able to attend the scheduled sessions in person.
- If you apply on behalf of an organisation, you confirm that you are authorised to do so.
3. Applying for and enrolling on the bootcamp
- Seats are limited and gated. You apply for a place, and a seat is not guaranteed until we confirm it and payment has been taken.
- We may decline or withdraw an application at our reasonable discretion.
- Cohort dates, session times and format are shown at the point of application. Sessions run in the evening across three weeks.
- The location of each cohort is confirmed on enrolment. Where a venue is not yet listed, it will be central London, confirmed on enrolment.
- Your seat is personal to you and is not transferable to another person without our agreement.
4. Fees and payment
- Bootcamp fees are shown per cohort, with an earlybird price available until the earlybird deadline and the full price after that.
- The price that applies is the one shown for your chosen cohort at checkout. Payments are processed securely by Stripe, and we do not store your full card details.
- The desktop app is a one-off payment shown at checkout.
- Prices include VAT where applicable, unless stated otherwise.
5. What is included with a bootcamp seat
A seat includes a high-spec MacBook to use in the room, with free rental available for the duration of the cohort; all AI credits; Claude Pro Max; your own always-on AI teaching assistant; refreshments; and a certificate of completion.
Any MacBook or equipment we lend or rent to you remains our property and must be returned in good condition at the end of the cohort, unless we agree otherwise in writing.
6. The desktop app licence
When you buy the desktop app, we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to install and use it on your own machine for your own use. You may not resell, sublicense, rent out or redistribute the app, or attempt to reverse engineer it except to the extent the law allows.
7. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use our services, the app, or the AI tooling for anything unlawful, harmful, deceptive or infringing;
- build or deploy anything that breaks the terms of the underlying providers, including Anthropic’s usage policies;
- use the tooling for high-risk purposes where a failure could lead to death, personal injury or serious harm;
- attempt to disrupt, overload or gain unauthorised access to our systems;
- misuse AI credits or shared accounts, or share your access with others.
You are responsible for everything you create and ship using our tools.
8. Intellectual property
- We own the Zero Shots Given brand, our course materials, and the desktop app. Nothing in these Terms transfers that ownership to you.
- The apps you build during the bootcamp are yours. Every app is yours to keep, grow and monetise.
- We would love to celebrate what you build, but we will only feature your work publicly with your permission.
9. AI outputs
Our tools use AI, including Claude by Anthropic. AI can be wrong, out of date or unexpected. You are responsible for reviewing, testing and deciding whether to rely on anything the AI produces.
10. Warranties and disclaimers
- We provide the bootcamp with reasonable skill and care.
- The desktop app and our tooling are provided “as is” and “as available”. Beyond the money-back promises set out in our Refund & Cancellation Policy, we do not warrant that the tools will be uninterrupted, error-free, or fit for a particular purpose.
- Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer.
11. Our guarantee
We stand behind the bootcamp with a simple promise: 100% money-back if you don’t ship at least one app in the 3 weeks. Full details, including the desktop app promise, are in our Refund & Cancellation Policy.
12. Limitation of liability
- Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
- Subject to that, our total liability to you for any claim connected with our services is limited to the amount you paid us for the service giving rise to the claim.
- We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for loss of profit, revenue, data or goodwill.
13. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or end your access if you breach these Terms or the acceptable use rules, or where we are required to by law.
14. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The “Last updated” date shows the current version. Material changes affecting a bootcamp you are already enrolled on will not apply retrospectively without your agreement.
15. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England & Wales, and the courts of England & Wales have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute.
